These Terms & Conditions apply to appointments, consultations and aesthetic treatments provided by [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME], trading as [BRAND NAME].
By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms.
They are designed to explain clearly how our service operates and do not remove or limit any legal or regulatory rights you have as a consumer or patient.
-
Not necessarily.
All treatments are subject to appropriate clinical assessment.
If, in the treating doctor's professional judgement, a treatment is unsuitable, unsafe or not in your best interests, we may recommend an alternative treatment, postpone treatment or decline to proceed.
Your safety will always take priority over a commercial decision.
-
You must provide complete and accurate information about your health and circumstances where relevant to your treatment.
This may include medical conditions, medication, allergies, previous procedures, pregnancy or breastfeeding, recent surgery or dental treatment, and previous aesthetic treatments or complications.
You must also tell us if anything relevant changes between your consultation and treatment.
-
We will only share information where there is an appropriate lawful basis to do so.
Where necessary, this may include healthcare professionals involved in your care, pharmacies, laboratories, professional advisers, insurers or indemnity providers, regulators or statutory bodies, and trusted service providers who process information on our behalf.
We will never sell your personal information.
-
Yes. Patient confidentiality is fundamental to our practice.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.
There are limited circumstances where information may need to be disclosed without your consent, for example where required by law, court order, professional or regulatory obligations, or where necessary to protect you or another person from serious harm.
-
Consent is an ongoing process.
You can ask questions, request further information or change your mind before treatment.
Signing a consent form does not mean you are committed to proceeding.
You will be given appropriate information about the proposed treatment, including relevant benefits, limitations, material risks and alternatives, so that you can make an informed decision.
-
No.
Although we will always aim for the best possible result, aesthetic medicine cannot guarantee a particular outcome.
Results vary from person to person and can be affected by factors including anatomy, skin quality, age, lifestyle, medical history, medication, previous treatment and individual response.
Before-and-after photographs are examples only and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of what you will achieve.
Our aim is always for natural, elegant and proportionate results.
-
All medical and aesthetic procedures carry potential risks.
Depending on the treatment, these may include pain, bruising, swelling, redness, infection, asymmetry, lumps, tenderness, allergic reactions, vascular complications, tissue injury, scarring, pigment changes, headaches, temporary or prolonged weakness and other complications.
Some complications can be serious and may require additional medical treatment.
You will receive treatment-specific information and aftercare advice before and/or following your procedure.
-
Please follow the aftercare instructions provided to you.
If you develop concerning symptoms, contact us where appropriate.
If you believe you require urgent medical attention, call 999, attend an emergency department or seek appropriate urgent medical care.
Our aesthetic service is not an emergency or 24-hour medical service, and messages, emails and social media messages are not monitored continuously.
-
Where clinically appropriate, we may recommend a review following treatment.
A review allows us to assess your outcome and discuss any concerns.
A review does not automatically mean that additional treatment, a refund or a correction will be offered. Any further treatment will be considered on an individual clinical basis.
-
We personally source the products used in our treatments and aim to use appropriate, high-quality products from reputable sources.
The product selected will depend on your individual treatment plan and clinical requirements.
We may substitute a product where clinically appropriate or where availability changes.
-
Current prices will be communicated before treatment.
If your treatment plan changes or additional treatment is recommended, the relevant cost will be explained before proceeding.
Prices may change from time to time.
-
Where a deposit is required, this will be explained when you book.
Deposits secure appointment time and may be transferred to another appointment where sufficient notice is provided and our booking policy permits.
Where an appointment is cancelled or missed without sufficient notice, we may retain some or all of the deposit, subject to applicable consumer law and the individual circumstances.
We will always aim to apply cancellation charges reasonably and proportionately.
-
We understand that plans change.
Where possible, please provide at least [48 hours] notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
With sufficient notice, we will normally endeavour to transfer your booking or deposit to another suitable appointment.
Late cancellations, repeated cancellations or non-attendance may result in a deposit being forfeited or future appointments requiring payment in advance.
-
If you do not attend an appointment without reasonable notice, it may be treated as a missed appointment.
Repeated non-attendance may result in us declining future bookings.
-
Occasionally, we may need to cancel or rearrange an appointment due to illness, emergency clinical commitments, professional obligations, unforeseen circumstances, equipment or premises issues, safety concerns or regulatory requirements.
We will provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
If we cancel an appointment and cannot offer a suitable alternative, any payment relating to the unprovided appointment will be refunded where appropriate.
-
No.
This is a private aesthetic service and does not provide continuous or emergency medical cover.
Messages and emails are not monitored continuously.
For an emergency, call 999 or attend an appropriate emergency department.
-
The practitioner may have professional and medical commitments in addition to this aesthetic practice.
Appointments are therefore offered only during available clinic times.
We do not guarantee continuous or unrestricted availability.
If circumstances materially affect the practitioner's ability to continue providing treatment, reasonable steps will be taken to communicate with affected patients and, where clinically appropriate, assist with continuity of care or signposting to another healthcare professional.
-
Some treatments may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
You must tell us if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding where this may be relevant to your treatment.
The treating doctor will decide whether it is clinically appropriate to proceed.
-
Where prescription-only medication is clinically appropriate, prescribing decisions will be made independently by the prescribing clinician following appropriate assessment.
Booking or paying for an appointment does not create an entitlement to a particular prescription, medication, dose or treatment.
-
If treatment has already been provided, dissatisfaction with the aesthetic outcome does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund.
We will consider each situation individually and may recommend a clinical review, monitoring, further treatment, referral or another appropriate response.
Nothing in these terms removes your statutory consumer rights.
-
We want you to feel comfortable raising concerns.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your experience, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can investigate and respond appropriately.
Making a complaint does not affect your right to seek independent advice or pursue any legal or regulatory remedy available to you.
-
Your safety will always be our first priority.
If a complication occurs, we will assess the situation and provide or arrange appropriate clinical management within the scope of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
-
Occasionally circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect appointments, including serious illness, emergencies, equipment failure, premises issues, supply disruption, telecommunications failure or regulatory changes.
Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact on patients.
-
No.
These terms are intended to explain how the service operates and do not remove statutory consumer rights or any rights you have under applicable healthcare, professional or data-protection law.
-
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that provide otherwise.
-
Yes.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements or professional standards.
The version applicable to your booking will normally be the version in force when your appointment is confirmed.
